Job Type Full-time Exemption Type Non-Exempt Location NC US (Primary) OH US PA US TN US VA US WV US Category Industry Professional Travel Road Warrior Job Description ORC is seeking a full-time, non-exempt Right of Way Title Agent to work on projects in the east coast. The selected candidate must reside in one of the following states: North Carolina, West Virginia, Tennesse, Ohio, Virgina, or Maryland and will have the flexibility to work remotely from their home office. The selected candidate should expect to hit the road daily traveling about 50%-75% of the time. Travel could extend to surrounding states, based on project requirements. What you will be doing: As a Title Agent, you will be responsible for retrieving process of 50-year title and will need to clearly define the chain of title, identify any issues, out sales, and encumberments by searching real estate records, both online and in county courthouses. The selected candidate will pull deeds, mortgages, contracts, easements, tax cards, plats, and other instruments required to complete a title search.Agent will compile information into a client provided Title Report while ensuring accuracy of title information. We are looking for someone who: Communicates clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing. Has a responsible and organized approach to work. Is a problem solver with attention to detail. Has a sense of urgency. Is comfortable using a variety of different technologies in order to research and complete title work. What we are offering: Generous base pay Health, dental, and vision benefits 401K and disability coverage Paid vacation, sick time, and holidays Tuition reimbursement and professional training Recognition programs, growth opportunities, and a family-friendly atmosphere Stable and steady work Here are the minimum requirements: Minimum of (5) fiveyears of experience pulling title and title history Must have experience: Analyzing titles and title reports; Verifying property ownerships, mortgages, liens, and/or judgments against properties; Determining if restrictions, such as delinquent taxes, will affect titles and limit property use; Identifying key information about parcels and communicating such effectively to property owners Proficient reading deeds, legal descriptions, plats, easements, searching parcel data, and producing a chain of title Ability to read and understand real estate terminology Ability to ascertain types of title evidence required to obtain descriptions of properties and names involved Must be proficient with MS Office Suite specifically Excel and Word, Dropbox or equivalent Must have an iOS or Android smartphone to be able to access ORC's systems Valid Driver's License Relocation is not provided.
