Army National Guard Units SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32) in Concord, North Carolina

Summary THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This National Guard position is for a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR (TITLE 32), Position Description Number D1290000 and is part of the NC G4, National Guard (G4 - FMS #6 / MD 5126-009). Responsibilities As a SURFACE MAINTENANCE MECHANIC SUPERVISOR, WS-5801-10, you will plan use of subordinate workers, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week or month-to-month basis; assign tasks to be performed based on readiness and explains work requirements, methods, and procedures; plan and establish overall leave schedules; perform non-supervisory work, such as, transporting equipment, performing maintenance tasks, etc.; develop, publish, and ensure employee compliance with standing operating procedures for the activity supervised; prepare for and participate in various types of readiness evaluations, inspections, mobilization and command support exercises; perform other duties as assigned. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Military Grades: Enlisted (E8 to E9) or Warrant Officer (WO1 to CW3) Minimum Requirements: Experience or training which demonstrates that the candidate has the ability to organize assignments for subordinates, estimate material and manpower needed for specific jobs; able to explain manuals and work procedures; and to prepare production records, work records and reports. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (Must have 36 months experience), in addition to the journeyman level knowledge, experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, direct, and organize work assignments for lower grade personnel. Experience which required the review of work requirements and establish priorities to meet deadlines. Experience that provided knowledge of various lines of work performed by this function. Experience which demonstrates the ability to supervise or the potential to perform such duties as evidenced by the ability to communicate knowledge of general supervisory concepts, and knowledge of shop processes. Experience in adapting existing equipment and techniques to new situations.
