A Technical Product Manager, Vertical Application Software serves as the vital business representative on project teams throughout the development of new products. Their primary responsibility is to translate customer needs into actionable insights for both the business and product development teams. They also bridge the gap by communicating how technology can meet these needs effectively. Additionally, they guide the product vision from initial concepts through the development pipeline, making crucial daily decisions on all technical aspects. This role will operate within the vertical application segment of our software portfolio, influencing cross-functional teams to pave the way forward.

This position is part of the Software Product Management Team and will be located in Concord, Canada.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Interact with internal and external customers globally to understand valuable problems, as a part of planning and executing market research to identify opportunities for current and future products.

  • Influence product roadmaps based on customer and market insights.

  • Collaborate with internal partners to develop product concepts and provide updates to key stakeholders,.

  • Monitor product adoption and success through collaboration with Sales Training and Sales and Marketing partners.

  • Participate in business planning by tracking the competitive landscape and translating the changing needs of attractive segments into actionable insights.

The essential requirements of the job include:

  • Master’s Degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences with 5 years of experience.

  • Demonstrated experience using Liquid Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry in a life science field.

  • Demonstrated experience in software development, which includes working with software developers to translate product requirements in project scope, and working with project managers to balance project scope and schedule.

  • Demonstrated experience interacting with customers, collecting customer feedback, and synthesizing feedback into the creation of requirements for new product scope.

  • Experience using office software products, including Microsoft Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint and PowerBI.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

  • Experience in a global environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced setting.

  • advanced degree is preferred.

  • Experience in Science/Engineering or Marketing/Business roles, such as Product Management or Marketing.

  • Experience in product demonstrations to customers in a sales environment.
