Job Description Summary Receives and verifies incoming shipments of raw potatoes, guides incoming shipments into proper bays, responsible for the unloading of raw potatoes and correct sampling procedures. The Raw Product Receiver reports directly to the Production Supervisor. Job Description Basic & Preferred Qualifications EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: * No previous experience required. LANGUAGE SKILLS: * Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. * Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively communicate in English commensurate with the requirements of this position. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: * Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. * Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. REASONING ABILITY: * Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: * The employee frequently is required to climb or balance. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and taste or smell. * The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. WORK ENVIRONMENT: * While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock. * The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
