Job Duties and Responsibilities
Coral Gables operates under a commission/manager form of government and is well known for its active and involved citizenry. The Part-Time Lifeguard will be responsible for the safety of patrons at the Venetian Pool. The Lifeguard will provide safe supervision of patrons, enforce rules and regulations and do related work, including maintenance as required. Lifeguards may also be called upon to assist with special events, answer inquires from the public and provide information on pool events and activities.
Qualifications
Must be 16 years of age or older at the time of hire.
Current Certification - Jeff Ellis and Associates International Pool and Water Park Lifeguard Training License required.
If you have a current Red Cross Lifeguard Certification you may apply and the City of Coral Gables will facilitate and pay for you to obtain the required Jeff Ellis Certification
Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
Strong communication skills (both written and oral). Experience working as a lifeguard in an aquatics facility is a plus.
