This is a job for a Sr. Systems Engineer located with a company in the Jackson, MS area.
Job Summary: The Sr. System Engineer will be responsible for all technical aspects of the assigned upgrade or technology migration from project initiation through project completion.
Responsibilities: Building strong customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions. Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Live System Upgrades. Lead customer presentations. Adherence to best practices and established process. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Work with the Territory Engineering Manager and other Territory Managers to obtain necessary resources to support the team's projects as well as escalate issues which cannot be resolved by the team. Staging equipment needed for a system upgrade. Complete system documentation. Collaboration with key work partners in Engineering, Project Management, systems integration, central support functions and customers. Collaborating with Project Managers and other team members to create and execute an end-to-end system upgrade plan. Ensuring the integrity of the architecture/design. Support and/or Lead Motorola Solutions technology migration projects for our customers.
Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree (BSEE/BSCE) preferred. 2+ years of management/leadership experience preferred. Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE highly desirable. Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) highly desirable. Certifications through CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA or similar, highly desirable. Previous knowledge and experience working with some or all of Juniper, Aviat, Cisco, Nokia/Alcatel, Xtreme, Ceragon, highly desirable. Experience directly working with end-user customers is essential. Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences is essential. Ability to build relationships, collaborate and manage conflict. Self-motivated and able to maintain focus in a pressured environment.
