Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a Warehouse and Materials Lead to join our team in Cork, Ireland. Responsibilities:
Manage the day-to-day leadership of the warehouse & materials team
Manage receipt, storage and shipping processes for all raw materials, intermediates, APIs and bulk solvents areas in a cGMP manner that optimizes quality, safety, yield and throughput performance.
Demonstrate ownership and accountability for performance management within the warehouse team.
Drive the team towards achieving important targets in safety, quality, customer supply, and productivity.
Be responsible for coordinating and managing all operating issues such as rescheduling resource requirements.
Develop and deliver an annual training plan to increase competency and cross-training.
Support the site cycle counting process to maintain accurate stock count.
Liaise with the Order Fulfilment team regarding shipment schedules.
Be a champion for PPI (practical process improvements), using Performance Management as the primary way of working. Maintain all relevant daily and weekly performance boards.
Participate in client tours / visits including necessary preparation/follow-up
Identify required equipment upgrades and improvements (e.g. high bay)
Requirements:
Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or Business, or equivalent experience in a primary pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
Experience in pharmaceutical production/warehousing or distribution.
Expert knowledge of Business Information Systems, preferably SAP.
Ability to build and maintain strong relationships across multiple departments.
