Scope of Position: Corporate Events is a team of event professionals who use strategic project management and solutions-oriented customer service to plan best in class events that support the company’s key initiatives and corporate calendar. The primary responsibility of the Corporate Events Associate is to provide support to the team in planning and executing events. This includes a wide range of activities, such as coordinating vendors, organizing logistics, managing budgets, communicating with key stakeholders, and assisting with event planning and execution. This role will also play a vital part in providing comprehensive support to the organization, focusing on administrative tasks and system maintenance.
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Support team with assigned corporate events in adherence with established policies and processes to meet customer expectations.
Partner with internal and external vendors, such as catering, media, IT, Global Security, Corporate Aviation, and external vendors/venues like the Corning Museum of Glass, to deliver high-quality events
Support travel planning for hotel, restaurant reservations, and train to serve as backup for ground transportation travel logistics
Support team with administrative tasks (i.e. conference room management, event materials printing, event diagrams and layouts, etc.)
Provide systems administration support to enable the organization operations effectiveness, leveraging department technology platforms (i.e., SharePoint, room scheduling tool, Microsoft Office 365)
Work with catering vendor to process banquet orders, reconcile accounts and assist in submission of expense reports
Contribute to department time tracking and metrics program to drive continuous improvement in process efficiency and effectiveness
Maintain strict confidentiality of information gained while coordinating and supporting meeting and event logistics
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 5% domestic travel
Hours of work/work schedule:
Monday – Friday, standard business hours.
May need to support evening or weekend events as needed.
This is not a remote position.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
Required Years and Area of Experience:
- Minimum of 1+ years of event planning experience

The range for this position is $36,254.00 - $49,850.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
