Naval Facilities Engineering Command ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in Corpus Christi, Texas

Summary You will serve as an ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the Capital Improvements orNAV FACILITIES ENGINEERING COMMAND SE. You don't need to be active duty military to serve your country! Responsibilities You will monitor project operations to determine progress toward meeting schedules. You will review architectural plans and specifications for compliance with applicable statutes, regulations, instructions, policies and procedures. You will use word processing, spreadsheet, database, and presentation graphics software to produce technical and non-technical documents. You will perform technical engineering services in support of environmental, industrial and hazardous waste disposal operation. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-09) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Applying engineering concepts, principles and practices applicable to the full range of engineering disciplines (civil, mechanical, electrical, and environmental) required for the design, layout, execution of construction operations; 2) Reviewing technical engineering specifications, drawings and statements of work covering complex and diverse engineering designs or changes for constructability and accuracy; 3) Solving problems encountered during construction operations; 4) Define funding and categories responsibilities for Facilities Projects in accordance with federal guidelines.
