CITY OF CORTEZ Lifeguard in Cortez, Colorado
POSITION: Lifeguard
DUTIES: Include monitoring swimming areas, rescuing distressed persons, warning recreational participants of unsafe areas and illegal conduct, providing safety precaution information, and other duties assigned by supervisor.
SKILLS REQUIRED: Must have current American Red Cross Lifeguard Training/First Aid, American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer. Must pass pre-employment testing for lifeguarding skills and knowledge.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Must be at least 15 years of age due to child labor laws. Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time.
WAGE: $14.42-$16.40 per hour.
SHIFTS: Both part-time and full time positions available. Shifts include days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Hours are flexible and will be discussed at interview.
JOB SITE: Cortez
