CIE Newcor MTG 2nd Shift Supervisor in Corunna MI, Michigan
JOB SUMMARY
Plans work and supervise production procedures and personnel, and ensure attainment of production schedules in the department of plant.
* *DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Directs departments and regulates and coordinates functions of office and or shop.
- Introduces efficient methods and initiates and directs procedures to increase company output.
- Maintain logs, Hand-off, spreadsheets
- Supervises and trains production employees for growth and development.
- Orders small, perishable tools.
- Analyzes operations and oversees set-ups for new jobs.
- Prioritizes work schedules.
- Schedules services orders, analyzes service parts.
- Distributes work orders for machinery and manning requirements.
- Directs department to be in compliance with all customer delivery and quality requirements.
- Directs production operations to be in compliance with all company quality operating and environmental requirements.
- Manages department (area) to achieve goals for productivity, scrap, rework, and accident reduction.
- Responsible for adherence to all company safety and housekeeping rules.
- Evaluates and disciplines employees as necessary.
* *SKILLS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Two-year technical degree level of knowledge or equivalent years of experience in a manufacturing environment, 1 year of which must have been in a leadership capacity.
- Working knowledge of blueprint reading, SPC, employee relations, Lock out Tag out, management classes and other related training.
- Working Knowledge with Excel, Word
* *WORKING CONDITIONS
- Physical demands required: Frequent reaching, handling, talking and fingering.
- Environmental conditions: Exposure to noise, atmospheric conditions, and moving mechanical parts of equipment, tools, or machinery.
- Overtime on weekends and shift coverage as needed.
