Job Description:

Position Overview: We are seeking dedicated and experienced Commercial Truck Drivers to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to operate our specialized trucks, ensuring the safe and timely transportation of agricultural and farming supplies to various destinations.

  • Hours per week: 40
  • Hourly work schedule:6:00 am to 3:00 pm.
  • Expected workdays are Monday to Friday, with a standard 8-hour workday.
  • Period of intended employment: 1/1/2024 - 10/1/2024
  • Worksite Address: 1949 Arnold Ave, Costa Mesa, California 92627 (Orange County).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate commercial trucks to transport agricultural and farming supplies, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and handling of goods.
  • Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Plan routes and schedules efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism and courtesy when interacting with clients and colleagues.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies at all times.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading process, when required.
  • Adhere to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements.
  • Minimum of 1 yearof commercial truck driving experience.
  • Clean driving record with no major violations.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to operate GPS and other navigation systems.
  • Physical fitness for lifting and loading.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A commitment to safety and professionalism.

Additional information:

  • Geographic Area of Intended Employment: Applicants should be aware that the job may require travel, and they may need to reside in Costa Mesa, CA - Orange County, CA
  • Wage Offer: The wage offer for this position is $26.10-$34.58 per hour. Depending on experience. The wage offer meets or exceeds the highest of the prevailing wage or the Federal, State, or local minimum wage.
  • Overtime: Overtime may be available, and the wage offer for overtime hours is time and a half: $39.15-$51.87 per hour.
  • On-the-Job Training: On-the-job training will be provided to the worker.
  • Wage Computations: The employer uses a single workweek as the standard for computing wages due.
  • Frequency of Payment: Workers will be paid at least every two weeks or in accordance with the prevailing practice in the area of intended employment, whichever is more frequent.
  • Board, Lodging, and Facilities: Not Applicable
  • Deductions: The employer will make all deductions from the worker's paycheck required by law. There will be no additional deductions.
  • Transportation and Subsistence: Workers will be provided with or reimbursed for transportati n and subsistence from their point of origin to the place of employment if they complete 50 percent of the period of employment covered by the job order.
  • Return Transportation: The employer will provide or pay for the worker's cost of return transportation and daily subsistence if the worker completes the certified period of employment or is dismissed before the end of the period.
  • Daily Transportation: Not Applicable
  • Reimbursement for Fees: The employer will reimburse the H-2B worker in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees.
  • Provided Tools and Equipment: The employer will provide, without charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned.
