Job Description:
Role Summary/Purpose:
The SVP Consumer Marketing Leader, will be responsible to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to achieve key portfolio and consumer card portfolio objectives for the Health and Wellness platform. This role requires working collaboratively across the organization to launch new platforms and strategic growth initiatives to achieve all portfolio growth metrics and deliver a positive consumer brand experience. The ideal candidate demonstrates a proven track record of driving customer acquisition, engagement, and retention through innovative marketing initiatives and has experience leading and managing marketing teams.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
Develop and implement a cohesive acquisition and lifecycle marketing strategy aligned with business goals and market opportunities for the Health & Wellness platform.
Lead, mentor, and inspire a high-performing marketing team to achieve ambitious growth targets.
Drive value proposition enhancements, new product opportunities and other innovations based on industry and consumer insights.
Develop robust omnichannel journeys to optimize client experiences and outcomes across channels.
Develop strategic marketing initiatives to drive network expansion and Synchrony wide growth initiatives.
Customer Acquisition + Lifecyle Marketing:
Design and execute multi-channel acquisition campaigns to drive new customer growth and enhance customer engagement, retention, and loyalty throughout the customer lifecycle across 50+ industries within the Health and Wellness platform.
Leverage data-driven insights to optimize targeting, messaging, and channel mix that address the unique needs and preferences of each customer segment.
Market Analysis and Insights:
Partner with the Health and Wellness market research team to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive dynamics within the credit card and healthcare financing industries.
Utilize customer insights and analytics to inform marketing strategies, deliver data-driven decision-making capabilities, enhance portfolio performance and the brand experience/relationship with cardholders.
Partnership Development:
Collaborate with Health and Wellness platform CMO, GMs and cross-functional leaders, to drive co-marketing initiatives, expand customer reach and deliver on growth objectives.
Build and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders to enhance brand visibility and credibility.
Performance Measurement:
Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives to exceed the operating plan for the Health and Wellness platform.
Continuously analyze campaign performance and ROI, making data-driven adjustments as needed.
Budget Management:
Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve strategic objectives.
Identify cost-effective marketing solutions that maximize impact and deliver measurable results.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or in lieu of degree 15+ years executive marketing leadership experience.
10+ years of experience in one or more of the following areas: consumer credit cards, healthcare, direct marketing with focus on lifecycle marketing and promotions
In-depth business expertise and commercial awareness demonstrated through 7+ years of experience planning, designing, building and/or running business functions or processes.
Experience managing organizations and other professionals with a minimum of 7 years of managerial responsibility.
Desired Characteristics:
Demonstrated ability to manage complex initiatives and projects in a matrix environment.
Client-facing experience and partner management
Strong PC proficiency (MS Office Suite) or comparable software applications.
Demonstrated growth marketing leadership skills (analytic and creative).
Advanced degree (MS, MBA).
Outstanding communications, relationship building, influencing and collaboration skills.
Be passionate about serving as the voice of the consumer and ensuring a positive, consistent brand experience throughout all aspects of the product and cardholder marketing.
Sound, strategic thinking and analytical skills to help translate data driven insights into marketing opportunities and activities
Understands core credit operating systems and can work with cross-functionally to innovate and grow. This includes, but is not limited to, core operating platforms such as rewards, account management, point-of-service and online acquisition.
Understands how technology is evolving consumer experience in loyalty and payments and can innovate the value proposition and experience to optimize the PLCC and Dual Card programs.
Consumer finance and/or healthcare industry experience preferred.
Familiarity with value proposition and/or new product development processes, from concept innovation through go-to-market execution.
Direct marketing experience with both acquisition and loyalty/lifecycle channels.
Strong executive presence with proven ability to partner and communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Advanced problem solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions in a fast changing environment.
Budget management experience.
Grade/Level: 16
The salary range for this position is 220,000.00 - 370,000.00 USD Annual. This position is also eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan target of 30% of salary and an Annual Equity target of 30% of salary.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months' time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months' time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don't meet the time in position or performance expectations).
