What will you do?

A day in the life of a Associate Product Manager, Customs & SMU Footwear at Vans looks a little like this.

You will be responsible for managing the Customs & SMU footwear category from brief stage through design and development to product introduction and sell through. We are looking for an amazing cross-functional team member, who has the eye and business acumen to drive the future vision of our Customs & SMU footwear collection. Let’s break down that day-in-the-life a bit more.

• Responsible for working closely with the Global and Regional Product Management, Design, Development and Marketing teams to determine the need for Custom swatches/Footwear & SMU (Special Make Ups) / OMU’s (Open Make Ups) to fill the void with products that meet their needs

• Champion the PLM (Product Line Management) process, manage samples, attend and build presentations and present at key milestone meetings when necessary

• Interact and partner with Merchandising, Development, and Design to ensure all goals of the department are achieved ranging from margin, SKU analysis, and on time buy readiness

What do you need to succeed?

Additionally, while formal education in a related field is great to have, we are most interested in your 3-5 years of experience and professional achievements.

The foundation skills you will need in this position are:

• Knowledge of Action Sports, Fashion, Streetwear, Art and the global market competitive set

• Ability to think strategically and act tactically

• Capable of analyzing data and using key findings in decision making

• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills

• Confident and comfortable in self-starter environment

• Detail oriented and deadline driven

Hiring Range :

$73,440.00 USD - $91,800.00 USD annually

Incentive Potential : This position is eligible for additional compensation awards that may include an annual incentive plan, sales incentive, or commission potential.
