This is a great opportunity to join the Global Marketing team on one of the fastest growing and largest Platforms at BD. With significant product launch and geographical expansion goals, this role will require someone who is a strong leader, fast learner, and is agile with a growth mindset.

Urological Drainage

As the Global Marketing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the strategic direction for our Urological Drainage portfolio. This individual will be a leader on the Platform, working closely with the Region Marketers and Functional Leaders to develop and execute commercial strategies to achieve business unit objectives. In addition, this individual will lead strategic initiatives to support the long-term growth of the Platform, including but not limited to new solution and value proposition development, market shaping, omnichannel marketing campaigns, and evidence generation. The Global Marketing Manager reports to the Senior Global Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the general management for the Urological Drainage portfolio, which includes the Foley catheters, Foley Care, and StatLock™ franchises, focused on global commercial strategy, financial performance, demand and supply planning, budget management, and product line issue resolution as needed.

  • Develop and execute bold commercial strategies to achieve business unit objectives worldwide. This will include analyzing market and customer information, identifying new product innovations, optimizing the product portfolio, launching new products and line extensions, leading omnichannel marketing campaigns, managing product lifecycles, conducting competitive assessments, developing pricing strategies and guidelines, etc.

  • Design and lead strategic marketing campaigns to drive commercial growth by developing differentiated value propositions that address customers unmet needs through evidence generation and dissemination.

  • Investigate new solution opportunities and create business cases that clearly quantify the commercial potential, including market potential, customer requirements, competitive assessment, pricing, and costs.

  • Drive business line growth by leading commercial strategies outside product line responsibilities across business groups and units, linked directly to the long-term growth objectives for the business.

  • Effectively collaborate with regional marketing partners and other functions such as R&D, Medical Affairs, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations.

  • Develop and deliver strategic global marketing plans, guiding regional marketing teams in the development of their plans.

  • Develop and manage external relationships with vendors as needed to achieve business objectives, being the point of contact for any interactions, including status updates, scope of work management, tracking timelines, ensuring deadline, etc.

  • Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes and ensures that they are communicated and implemented within the team.

Qualifications:

Experience and Education

  • BS/BA in business, science, or engineering. MBA is strongly desired.

  • 3-5+ years of relevant marketing and/or commercial experience in life sciences, biotechnology, or other healthcare field with a consistent track-record of high performance and results.

  • Experience managing and leading teams and working cross-functionally and globally is preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to formulate and implement bold marketing and product strategies, convert these into tactical marketing plans, and deliver results.

  • Creative out-of-the-box mindset, is intellectually curious, stays current on new trends, and takes calculated risks with novel ideas. Demonstrated ability to redirect a commercial strategy or deliver a “turnaround” in business performance is strongly desired.

  • Sound decision making capabilities and the ability to make decisions in uncertain or risky situations, even in the absence of consensus, when necessary.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to utilize organizational channels, experience and influencing skills to effectively negotiate and persuade others.

  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment of competing priorities. Ability to routinely work on multiple tasks with multiple people while effectively prioritizing.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills for a wide variety of audiences.

  • Courage to speak up when important information or questions must be raised and acts when issues must be addressed.

  • Flexibility to travel globally to regions and customer sites at least 30% of the time.
