We are seeking a Supervisor, Materials Planning, who will play a vital role in the success of our Single-Use Technology Division (SUD). A key responsibility will be to use our ERP system efficiently to plan and order raw materials for the manufacturing process. Additionally, you will be in charge of maintaining accurate master data and generating systematic signals that influence our ordering process.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Materials Planners, fostering their continuous growth and development
Share proven strategies and serve as a knowledgeable resource in Materials Planning within the business unit.
Use the MPS/MRP feature in the ERP system to facilitate materials planning and ordering.
Handle key item settings in the ERP system to ensure accurate system functionality
Monitor and reconcile exception messages
Collaborate with suppliers to manage material delivery dates and optimize production plans
Recognize and report backorders or supplier performance issues to the Procurement Team
Provide accurate component forecasts and support strategic sourcing processes
Generate inventory projections and reporting for Raw Materials, WIP, and Finished Goods
Contribute to Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales, Inventory & Operations (SIOP) Meetings
Coordinate closely with Operations and Manufacturing Planning to optimize schedule adherence
Collaborate with various departments to minimize schedule changes within the frozen window
Engage in continuous improvement activities
Support expansion and harmonization projects
Provide backup support for other team members
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Demonstrated proficiency in Procurement, Materials Planning, or Supply Chain
Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis using Excel
Solid understanding of manufacturing concepts, finite scheduling, product flow, and supply chain planning
Experience with MRP/ERP and APS systems (Oracle, ASCP, SAP, JDE, M2M, server-based systems)
Preferred certifications: APICS CPIM, CSCP, ISM CPSM, Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt (or higher)
