Location: anywhere at an existing Westinghouse EMEA or US engineering locations.

Your Day-to-Day: The AP Technology Deployment department is looking for a Physical Design Lead Engineer to support AP300 design and delivery.

This person will report to the AP300 Project Engineering Manager and will work together with the AP300 functional area leads to develop the AP300 physical design. The physical design lead will be responsible for the integration of physical design elements such as building structures, modules, penetrations, raceways, embedments into the overall plant layout.

This is a unique position that will be responsible for interacting with Functional Area Stakeholders to solve technical challenges and guide work towards achievement of project goals and objectives. The target applicant is high-performing, self-starting, solution-oriented and looking to continue leadership skill development.

Specific responsibilities will be as follows: Accountable/Responsible for product development technical leadership, guidance, major project technical decisions, etc. for the AP300 physical design Manages major physical design changes as needed and ensures alignment with design authority and program stakeholders Provides overall physical design technical leadership to ensure the project is executed within the major product development objectives and milestones AP300 physical design point of contact across Westinghouse engineering organizations Supports Project Engineering Manager for technical related needs throughout the project Represents physical design development in the Product Development Review Meeting (PDRM) and the overall program AP300 Project Review Meeting (PRM) Responsible for physical design risk/opportunity identification, and support development of associated recovery/exploitation plans - including involvement in issue resolution Support development and maintaining of an accurate logic driven program schedule

Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: Bachelor's degree in engineering Previous experience on AP1000 or AP300 required Ability to travel internationally as projects require (up to +/- 10% for peak times) Cognizance in at least one of the following technical areas: Layout Engineering Commodity Design (Piping, Electrical) Building Engineering / Physical Design (BEPD) Modules NSSS component design and supports Effective oral and written communications Ability to establish effective networks across various functional areas
