If this sounds like an environment you would thrive in, we have an exciting opportunity!Westinghouse Global Nuclear Fuel Engineering is looking for a new graduate/early career Nuclear Product Engineer to join its Fuel Engineering Technology (FET) department.We support the most nuclear plant designs and fuel types around the world, and continuously develop and innovate to ensure customer success with advances in fuel, core design & monitoring, and next generation plant designs. We vigorously maintain a strong customer focus while maintaining accountabilities to Nuclear Safety in a culture that promotes the safe operation of the global nuclear fleet.

Location: Cranberry Township, PA, USA (CWHQ - Headquarters).No relocation assistanc will be provided for this position.This position is hybrid in nature requiring 2 days/week on-site at the Westinghouse Global Headquarters facility in Cranberry Woods, PA in the Greater Pittsburgh Area.

Your Day-to-Day: The Nuclear Product Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and testing new products or enhancing existing ones; all to deliver value to our commercial nuclear power plant customers and improve the accuracy and efficiency of internal work. The Nuclear Product Engineer's work also supports internal Westinghouse needs, such as maintenance of the Advanced Nodal Code (ANC), a 3-D spatial reactor physics computer program. Current FET products and services include the BEACON Core Monitoring System, Alternate Rod Worth Verification (ARWV), Network Management Services (NMS), and the TracWorks Fuel Data Management System. A successful Nuclear Product Engineer helps ensure that Westinghouse products meet the needs of customers and are produced/maintained efficiently. The candidate must have a passion for helping customers, with an eye for detail coupled with a mind for identifying and solving critical product issues. Day-to-day expectations and tasks include: Embrace the nuclear culture - i.e., understand what makes nuclear energy special and unique, thereby requiring implementation of human performance tools and operating experience to produce high quality, error free customer deliverables and product solutions. Participation in introductory training and education that will lead to technical qualification in areas such as Nuclear Design, Core Monitoring Model Development, Reactor Engineering, and/or Software Development & Testing. Organize and participate in each stage of product development, from ideation and concept generation and through design, testing, and implementation. Routinely interface with external product users (including Reactor Core Designers, Station Reactor Engineers, and Reactor Operators), as well as internal users and product managers to understand customer needs and seek new ways improve their product experience. Work with product managers to plan and prioritize product development and maintenance and to develop product roadmaps and timelines. Communicate and align with product stakeholders. Stay updated with industry trends and implement changes in our products accordingly. This may involve travel to customer sites, attending industry meetings/conferences, etc. Support product technical experts in resolution of customer technical issues and delivery of technical training. Support Product Marketing, including development of commercial offer technical descriptions, creation of product flysheets, delivery of industry pre entations, etc. Commitment to continuous learning, including participation in engineering learning seminars to maintain qualification and learn and apply lessons learned and operational experience.

Who You Are: As a successful candidate, you will bring the following to the team: Bachelor's Nuclear Engineering Required (not open to other engineering disciplines). Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred Applicable Nuclear Industry experience preferred Westinghouse Experience preferred Interest in Core Neutronics, Reactor Core Design, Core Monitoring, Reactor Engineering, and/or Spent Fuel Pool Management.
