Custom Production CNC Operator (Computer Numeric Control Operator) in Crestview, Florida
Description:
Growing private company manufacturing aluminum parts and fabrications for defense, architectural, bicycle, electronics, retail and solar markets has an immediate need for a CNC Operator. The CNC Operator sets up and operates a variety of machine tools such as lathes and milling machines, building parts to strict tolerances and dimensions. Uses a variety of machinists' hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations relating to dimensions of work, tooling, feeds, and speeds. Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining; fits and assembles precisions parts into mechanical equipment and determines material, parts, and equipment required. May assist in directing work, assigning and outlining tasks. Interprets and follows engineering drawings, blueprints, work order specifications, and checks work correctness. Other duties as assigned.
Specific Requirements:
H/S or GED and 1-3 years work experience preferred.
Must have mechanical aptitude.
Requires the ability to read, interpret and work from engineering drawings, blueprints, work order specs and engineering specifications. Basic math skills required.
Must wear applicable personal protective equipment (PPE)
Must have reliable attendance.
The company currently operates two shifts working 10 hours/day, 4 days per week.
Location: Okaloosa Industrial Air Park - Crestview, Florida
Compensation: Salary depends on experience.
