POSITION SUMMARY
The Security Manager at Crockett will have direct supervision over Security at Crockett. Additionally, this position will be responsible for managing all security related incidents, investigations, and other related security program matters. In all areas of responsibility this position will work closely with corporate and plant personnel to maximize overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Security & efforts. This manager will have the responsibility to lead the implementation and evaluation of critical Security, programs, and procedures to achieve goals, objectives, and continuous improvement related to compliance as well as risk reduction. This individual is responsible for all external communications with regulators and will act as the primary interface between the enforcement agencies and the Plant Operations. The Manager will interact with community interest groups, contractors, and consultants on a routine basis. This individual must demonstrate the ability to lead and influence operations staff not under direct supervision. The position reports directly to the Corporate Director, Security.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
Bachelor of Arts degree from an accredited 4-year institution
Experience working as security manager or related capacity in a large industrial setting
Experience utilizing Honeywell systems
Advanced knowledge of and experience in the use, administration and integration of computer networks and associated security equipment and sub-systems, video, and access control enterprise level systems, (analog and IP) equipment
Specific knowledge of Pro-Watch, Max-Pro, Video Management Systems, Visitor Management Systems, CCTV and other alarm or monitoring systems
At least 3 years of management experience in a security leadership role
Prior experience with security audits is preferred
Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Card (TWIC) for travel to other sites
PREFERRED EDUCATION & WORK EXPERIENCE
Milita ry or law enforcement background is highly preferred
Advanced security technology knowledge
Experience with the management of contracted security officers.
Must have a familiarity with EHS processes
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility of the Security Manager will be to manage all security related incidents, investigations and other related security program matters in addition to administering the security program at a major ASR Plant facility
Maintain Plant security in alignment with Global Security policy, objectives, and initiatives.
Support the Security Mission of the Plant, ensuring all employees, contractors and visitors are fully compliant with all refinery rules and regulations
Completes all required company and governmental regulations
Walks the facility regularly to ensure compliance with security regulations; escalates issues as needed
Supports the Human Resources department by creating access credentials for newly hired personnel and for current personnel as the situation dictates
Monitor CCTV systems for access violations and procedural errors; correct as needed. Recommend system enhancements.
If contracted security services are needed the Manager must direct and schedule guard service personnel in day-to-day security business and operations
Expert handling of all security incident requirements; liaise with all applicable local and federal law enforcement agencies.
Function as the incident commander in all emergency response situations at the Plant (fire, medical, severe weather, etc.)
Provides appropriate written communications to Director
Available to perform all functions when scheduled to be on-call
Keeps Director well informed, both verbally and in writing, of all issues within assigned area of responsibility; escalates issues to Director, Corporate Security as needed
Performs other duties as assigned
Conducts risk assessment, auditing and gap analysis as required to identify risks and gaps and make recommendations for improvement and sustainability of the safety and security program
Maintains a working partnership with Plant and attends all appropriate meetings
Provides expert security back-up and guidance to other ASR facilities
Conducts internal investiagtions
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY
Conducts regular meetings with direct reports to keep them informed of current problems, changes and new developments in the department and company
Monitors work productivity and recommends and implements changes to improve work productivity
Plans and monitors workload for timely and accurate completion
Coordinates workflow and procedures to maximize service
Coaches and counsels’ direct reports on performance issues
Arranges for cross training of team to maximize productivity and provide coverage of all functions
Completes time off approvals and scheduling for coverage as needed
Must be able to successfully manage a third-party security force
Maintain contact with and support site EHS Manager
Manages a Security Supervisor

Ability to work in an Industrial Manufacturing setting

The pay range for this position is below. The pay rate for the successful candidate will depend on the candidate’s qualifications and prior experience.
Salary Range: $102,500 - $190,500
