Midwest Aerospace Casting Lev 1 Assembly in Crown Point, Indiana

Level 1 Assembly

Basic Function: Performs routine factory work requiring essential casting knowledge and skills.

Competed the Vent and Fin 1 certification process.

Expected to operate drills, read gages, inspect, and clean drags and copes, drill out drags, and copes as required, vent and fin cores and molds, assemble sub-assemblies and level 1 assemblies assigned by supervisor.

Work with level 2 or higher/engineer and self-inspect work resulting in quality and efficient workmanship. Be able to work with team members from engineering, quality, other assemblers as well as take direction from supervisor/managers.

Attend MRB when requested to review scrap and rework.

Review Power BI data for scrap and rework.

Maintain scrap levels to be within the 20% of the other assemblers that work on same type parts, use data from Power BI.

Help maintain a safe and clean work environment.

``` 3. Understand customer requirements, our company's internal scrap challenges, rework, customer returns, the impact they have on your job and demonstrate the ability to deliver quality and efficient workmanship.

``` 4. Review and inspect all material being used, building self-inspection into everything you make/process.

``` 5. Complete, date and sign-off on all routing information

``` 6. Perform job tasks efficiently according to given standards.

``` 7. Report any problems or discrepancies to immediate management.

Proper use of all gages required, understand proper core | | venting/finning, and filter fit process | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 4. Understand and follow all department/company work instructions, | | procedures, and processes, know where to store, retrieve and the | | process for recommending changes and updates | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 5. Complete and maintain all training, sign-offs, testing, and | | requirements for level 1 assembler certification | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 6. Report any issues or discrepancies immediately to | | management/engineering/quality. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 7. Remain in good standings in accordance with company policies. | +-----------------------------------------------------------------------+ | 8. Skills:

Education/Training:

On-the-Job training while working under an experienced operator until position certification is achieved
