During your placement as Procurement Intern you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for system activities using SAP/Ariba/Infinity/Tableau/Sharepoint and various project and other support activities.

Aspects of the role include: Vendor Master file maintenance, SAP Contract & Info Record & maintenance; SAP maintenance; Purchase order process / maintenance/ Invoice resolution and Material Master Creation & maintenance. This is a business critical and business enablement function for site operations that requires strong ability to manage multiple, shifting priorities on a daily basis. This role is a key support role to the site procurement function.

Activities you will be involved in include:

  • Data validation and maintenance for pricing file, SAP Contracts & Info Records.

  • Requisition process - Approval of all purchase requisitions.

  • New Vendor creations/vendor changes.

  • Purchase Order maintenance including price changes and PO closures.

  • Coordinate team Training and facilitate department Standard Operating Procedures.

  • Assist in the management and processing of all purchase to pay issues and invoice resolution activities.

  • Active participation in multi-disciplined cross-functional site project teams (Dual Sourcing, New Product Introduction, Buyer Portal, Continuous Improvement projects) and forums.

  • Assist team with data preparation for supplier reviews, and participate and present at supplier meetings.

  • Complete Opex training and deliver a project using Opex principles

  • Complete Lead investigator training and lead a local Supplier Investigation

  • Preparation of slides for weekly team Huddle meeting

  • Optimisation of Dept. Sharepoint, Tableau dashboards, and smart digital processes

  • Report on diverse & preferred and develop Environmental scorecard

  • Complete various mandatory and optional training courses to expand knowledge and skills
