This position carries responsibility for an Adolescent Placement unit including supervision of County Social Workers, Caseworkers, and Social Service Aides to help achieve our mission to provide for the immediate safety and protection of children. Your work will involve, but is not limited, to the following: 

• Assigning workload to staff; 
• Meeting with staff by scheduling regular conferences and in additional meetings as needed to resolve case crises and discuss decisions about placements; 
• Assuring record keeping and completion of all court work in compliance with Department of Human Services Foster Care Regulations; 
• Training and monitoring the performance of staff in all areas of the job assignment, assessing additional training needs of unit staff, and assisting in providing or arranging for such training; 
• Completing required performance evaluation ratings and evaluation narratives for staff.
