POSITIION SUMMARY:

The Claims Specialist position requires an experienced claims professional who can advocate for clients, assist the insurance company in obtaining any necessary information from clients when needed and who acts as a liaison between clients and the insurance company claims department. This position will primarily assist with commercial lines claims. However, there will also be a small amount of personal lines claims it will be necessary to assist with.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Answer clients’ claims related questions;

  • Obtaining loss information from clients;

  • Reporting claims on behalf of clients;

  • Obtaining information & statuses from adjuster;

  • Obtaining statuses & following up with clients;

  • Assisting clients and their representatives in resolving any issues with adjusters & insurance companies;

  • Advise clients of the claims process & assist them in achieving a positive claims result; and

  • Provide any other assistance as needed.

*Position can be remote

FACTORS FOR SUCCESS:

  • High School diploma or GED.

  • 4-year college degree or higher preferred.

  • 5+ years of insurance claims related experience, including litigation.

  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills.

  • Computer proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Window, etc.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to analyze multiple situations and facts.

  • Proven critical thinking & problem-solving skills.

  • Proven attention to detail, and

  • P&C license (in good standing) is required.
