First Peoples Credit Union HR Generalist (Human Resources Generalist) in Cumberland, Maryland

Position Propose:

In this role you will work to ensure regulatory compliance and reporting remain up-to-date; are tasked with employee orientation, development, and implementing new employee training programs and initiatives. Work in policy development and documentation and assist with relationship management between employees and employer. Originate and lead human resources practices and objectives that provide employee-oriented high-performance cultures and advise company managers on human resources related issues.

Responsibilities: - Manage the full cycle of talent acquisition, including sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates - Coordinate and conduct new employee onboarding and orientation processes - Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures - Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records and data in HRIS systems such as iCIMS and lever - Support performance management processes, including conducting performance evaluations and providing feedback to employees - Assist with human capital management activities, such as workforce planning, employee engagement initiatives, and retention strategies - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations - Provide administrative support to the HR department, including managing employee documentation, preparing reports, and handling HR-related inquiries - Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge in areas such as diversity and inclusion, harassment prevention, and leadership development

-Support the HR team with special projects as needed.

-Review and respond to general unemployment agency inquiries.

Qualifications: - Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, business Administration or related field - Proven experience as an HR Generalist or similar role - Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws - Proficient in HRIS systems (iCIMS, lever) and MS Office Suite - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills - Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment
