Will you help us design the next generation Accessories that push the boundaries of low-power and high-speed electrical design? Our products enable countless people to fully-utilize and enjoy the Apple ecosystem. Apple Accessories Hardware Engineering team is searching for a driven, hardworking electrical engineer. This is a rare and extraordinary opportunity allowing ownership from architecture definition to component selection, schematic capture and board layout to validation and manufacturing.

Key Qualifications

  • Strong EE fundamentals with intuitive skills and an understanding of why our field works the way it does

  • Product development experience in HW design

  • Experience and understanding of basic power management including SMPS converters and linear regulators

  • Hands-on lab experience in prototype bring-up and debugging, as well as functional verification

  • Familiarity with various data protocols: USB Type-C, USB, UART, I2C, SPI, JTAG, SWD,

  • Aspire to be a lead who drives technical initiatives in the team

  • Experience with firmware / embedded systems is strongly preferred

  • Experience with high speed design / signal integrity including hands on work with VNA / TDR is preferred

  • 3+ years of relevant industry experience preferred

  • Some international travel will be required

Description

On the team you will engage with a rewarding variety of responsibilities: Lead HW architecture definition, design and development SPICE simulation Schematic capture, component selection and design review Manage PCB layout with our team of designers HW validation planning and execution Custom silicon specifications and validation, from simple glue logic to multi-core ARM SoCs Collaborate with cross functional teams involved in product design and development process at Apple

Education & Experience

A Bachelor's, Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $138,900.00 and $256,500.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
