In this position, you will be part of pride developing innovative designs, which are implemented in products used by millions of people. The position primarily involves display module power architecture and PMIC development for Apple’s next generation products spanning from iPad, notebook computers, desktop computers, servers and standalone displays.
Description
Collaborate with Apple internal cross-functional teams to define display power architecture. • Collaborate with silicon team to develop comprehensive display PMIC specifications, simulation cases, characterization plans. • Partner with the display EE integration team for power solution integration, including schematic, BOM, and PCB layout. Provide technical support and resolve production issues in the factory. • Develop simulation, calculation, and analytical models and hardware prototypes to prove design concept. • Conduct validation of power solution in the lab, documenting and presenting results for leadership and cross-functional teams.
Minimum Qualifications
BS and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
Experience in power supply design with in-depth expertise in DC-DC power conversion topologies and a strong understanding of both analog and digital control loop optimization.
Experience in optimizing DC-DC converter performance, with a focus on component selection, magnetic design, PCB layout, transient response and efficiency.
Experience using simulation and design tools such as SPICE-based simulators and mathematical analysis tools.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a capacity to lead and inform critical decisions.
Proven track record in defining system level power architectures, with a thorough understanding of architecture options, trade-offs, and optimization strategies.
In-depth understanding of thermal, mechanical, and packaging challenges.
Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing technologies and production variance is essential.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to management and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Highly motivated, proactive self-starter with a commitment to innovation, integrity, and meticulous attention to detail.
Demonstrated experience in a fast-paced, innovative work environment.
Must be willing to travel overseas as needed to support projects. Maximum of 25% travel time per calendar year is expected.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,800 and $312,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
