We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead integration and operations of next generation storage (SSD) for our cloud systems. The ideal TPM candidate will be an experienced program manager who understands end to end SSD development and integration into storage hardware platforms. The successful candidate will be an innovative self-starter and leader, who likes ambiguity. The candidate will have an obsession with data and precise analysis and will use these as inputs to make and drive decisions. The candidate will have experience building processes and mechanism to scale and increase execution efficiency.

You will lead multiple simultaneous storage (SSD) qualification that are used to build and operate our storage platforms infrastructure at massive scale. Work will be in a highly cross-functional environment which includes internal customers, external vendors and technology partners.

• You understand storage (SSD) fundamentals and working with systems at scale and are able to influence technical priorities and business strategy through data-driven contributions.

• You are able to effectively navigate through ambiguous situations. You are able to define the problem and build a team around it to get to desired outcome

• You have a systematic approach towards problem solving and are able to identify and deliver process and mechanism to operate, debug, and scale systems. You do not mind getting your hands dirty and are able to deep dive into technical issues yourself.

• You’ll have high standards for yourself and everyone you work with, and you’ll be constantly looking for ways to improve your product’s performance, quality and cost. Using data and key metrics, you will also drive and measure process improvements that enhance our operational effectiveness.

• You are able to communicate ideas effectively, verbally and in writing, to a wide range of audiences including Directors and VPs.

• Your program management practices set a great example to others. You define clear goals and objectives. Drive crisp decisions in your program area and move project forward and in right priority order. You proactively identify risks and bring them to the attention of your team and stakeholders with plans for mitigation before they become roadblocks.
