Wireless MAC Design Verification Engineer

The Wireless Connectivity Silicon (WCS) team leads the way in developing complex SoCs to enable this experience in current and future Apple products. By using state of art processes, tools, flows along with unique proprietary features and advanced architecture, the team aims to deliver best-in-class wireless connectivity solutions. Our WCS organization plans to grow significantly to address the multiple silicon tapeouts targeting different product lines at Apple in the coming years. Key Qualifications

• Prior experience with verifying networking chip or complex control logic at subsystem or SoC

• Wireless and/or MAC verification experience is a plus

• Advanced knowledge of standard ASIC design and verification flows, simulation and testbench development

• Proficiency in SystemVerilog and the UVM methodology is highly preferred

• Skills with constrained random testing, coverage closure, gate level simulations

• Experience writing scripts in languages such as Perl or Python

• Great teammate with excellent communication skills and the desire to take on diverse challenges

Description

• Own critical block and sub-system verification of WIFI MAC - Architect and develop testbenches and environments - Learn new protocols related to IEEE 802.11 Wireless LAN specification - Create, simulate and debug test scenarios - Lead regressions and issue tracking - Collaborate with design and systems engineering teams to review specifications and architecture, extract features, and define verification plans - Drive coverage analysis and closure

BS + 10+ years of relevant experience required

• At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $170,700.00 and $300,200.00, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
