Job Title: CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team on the 1st shift, which runs from 6:30am to 5pm, totaling 50-55 hours per week. The role involves working in a job shop environment equipped with brand new machinery and a substantial workload booked for years ahead.
The CNC Machinist will be responsible for operating the assigned machines with maximum efficiency by reviewing production schedules, ensuring the availability of proper fixtures, tooling, materials, and setup items.
Responsibilities
Set up and operation of CNC Machinery including Mills and Lathes
Utilizing blueprints to machine parts to specification
Performing programming using G&M codes
Performing quality inspection using precision measuring tools
Essential Skills
5+ years of CNC experience
Knowledge of G&M Codes
Program Editing
Ability to read blueprints
Proficiency with calipers and micrometers

Work Environment
The CNC Machinist will work in a job shop environment with modern machinery and coordinated supervision. Daily operations are guided by the Production Part Machine line up. The role requires teamwork to ensure the availability and efficient use of proper tooling, materials, and setup items. The work area must be kept clean and organized to meet department utilization and throughput goals.
