Position Overview:

The Sales representative (qPCR) role at Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. offers an outstanding opportunity to drive significant impact in the biotechnology sector. Based in Seoul, you will be at the forefront of advancing qPCR technology, playing a meaningful role in both market penetration and expansion. Working with a special team, you will help craft the future of molecular diagnostics and research applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and exceed the sales target by identifying, developing, and closing high-value sales opportunities across the Korean market.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the qPCR market, focusing on clinical, academic, and industrial sectors.

  • Manage relationships with key clients, including hospitals, universities, research institutes, and biotechnology companies, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Provide mentorship to junior sales team members, encouraging a high-performance culture and ensuring alignment with company goals.

  • Identify and capitalize on new market opportunities, collaborating with marketing and product teams to introduce new qPCR solutions to untapped sectors.

  • Work closely with technical support, product management, and marketing teams to develop customized solutions for clients and ensure smooth product delivery and post-sale support.

  • Regularly report sales performance metrics, market trends, and client feedback to the APAC Sales Director.

Requirements:

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, or related field (Master's or equivalent experience preferred).

  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience in the life sciences or biotechnology industry, with a focus on molecular diagnostics or qPCR technology.

  • Experience working with key opinion leaders (KOLs) and maintaining relationships with large accounts (hospitals, research institutions, etc.).

Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of qPCR technology and its applications in diagnostics, research, and industry.

  • Proven capability to develop and implement sales strategies, be responsible for major accounts, and guide a team in attaining challenging sales goals.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels and build long-lasting customer relationships.

  • Familiarity with the Korean biotech and molecular diagnostics market, including trends, competitors, and regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to understand client needs and provide tailored solutions that drive customer satisfaction and dedication.

  • Data-driven approach to sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance measurement.

Other Requirements:

  • Proficiency in Korean and English, both written and spoken.

  • Willingness to travel within Korea and occasionally internationally for meetings and conferences.

  • Strong understanding of the regulatory environment in Korea related to molecular diagnostics and biotechnology products.
