Summary The primary purpose of this position is to support the execution of JWAC's contract actions to include requirement development, contracts in planning, pre-award, and post-award. The incumbent will be a part of an acquisition team where you will contribute to the execution of customer's requirement to meet mission needs and goals. Responsibilities Serves as a member of a team of Acquisition Program Managers and Contracting Officer Representatives (COR). Aid in the development of customer's requirements. Aid in the development of customer's requirements. Update and maintain requirement statuses utilizing Microsoft Teams and other designated trackers. Development and maintenance of acquisition schedules and milestones Develop acquisition packages to include Statement of Work (SOWs), Performance Work Statement (PWS), Independent Government Cost Estimate (IGCEs), evaluation criteria, Requirements Approval Document (RADs), Justification and Approvals (J&As), and Determination and Findings (D&Fs). Aid in the development of process improvements, standard operating procedures/ desk guides, and procurement strategies to better meet mission requirement Provide day-to-day contract support to include communicating with the Contracting Officer, Contractors, and Government Technical Point of Contacts. To qualify for this position, you must meet the basic education and/or specialized experience requirements. Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the DO-I/GS-11 grade level. Example: Specialized Experience is defined as work in the private or public sector performing duties in or related to the work of the position being filled. Examples of specialized experience include experience in pre- and post-award contracts, purchase orders, task orders, delivery orders, and process improvements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the DO-I (GS-11 equivalent) position in the federal service. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities The following will be used to help rate and rank eligible candidates: Knowledge of laws, principles, policies, and practices of large contracts, Indefinite-delivery Indefinite-quantity (IDIQ), Blanket purchase Agreements (BPA), simplified acquisition procedures, Research and Development (R&D) and Operation and Maintenance (O&M) funding, Other Transaction Agreements (OTAs), and program management (PM). Knowledge of acquisition strategy, planning, and execution. Knowledge of business, contracting procedures, technical concepts, and production practices to evaluate contractor proposals and activities. Knowledge of the missions, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, Air Force, and other entities that govern, interface with, cooperate and/or influence the systems acquisition process and integrated life cycle management. Ability to establish, support, and maintain good relationships with colleagues and groups within the office as well as outside the immediate work unit. Ability to plan, organize, and manage critical aspects of research, development, production, and support of subsystems or equipment, and integrate, review, and manage a variety of acquisition functions and personnel in support of the process. Strong acquisition knowledge based on the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), Department of the Air Force Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DAFFARS), and local policy.
