This position allows you to utilize your expertise in UX research, design, content creation, and information architecture.
The Role
We are undergoing a major shift in how we develop software and deliver solutions, which includes the introduction of this new role within our team. As part of this change, the UX team is moving towards a product-focused and portfolio-based structure, and we are looking to bring on board a skilled UX Product Designer.
This position is part of our UX and Digital Customer Experience team within IT. The ideal candidate is a thoughtful, empathetic, and seasoned UX professional, well-versed in UX best practices and experienced in areas like interaction and visual design, information architecture, user research, and UX strategy.
This role offers a unique opportunity to collaborate across disciplines, simplifying complex applications into intuitive experiences. You will be responsible for a wide range of UX tasks, including conceptualizing, prototyping, presenting, and delivering various UX assets such as personas, user flows, research plans, test scripts, and both low and high-fidelity mockups.
Key Responsibilities
General
Work within a cross-functional team using agile methodologies to define user stories and UX deliverables.
Influence design and product decisions by applying UX best practices, design principles, and research insights.
Collaborate with developers to implement the most effective and efficient solutions.
Collect, analyze, present, and act on feedback, managing changes to deliverables as needed.
Present work clearly and convincingly to stakeholders, explaining design recommendations through best practices, research data, or business requirements.
Design
Design the visual style, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences.
Create conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
Develop and maintain detailed specifications and design patterns.
Information Architecture
Translate rules and assets into UX systems, programs, and enterprise solutions.
Prepare, manage, update, and distribute UX documentation, including navigational flows, wireframes, mockups, use cases, task flows, prototypes, and content systems.
Advocate for the user while collaborating with business owners to create features and flows that meet user needs.
UX Research
Develop research strategies based on project key performance indicators (KPIs) and create usability test plans, scripts, and scenarios for prototypes. Regularly test hypotheses during design iterations.
Utilize research techniques to gather and analyze user data to inform design decisions.
