  • This job is part of the Data Strategy and Governance Team within the Revenue Division.

  • Responsible for helping to build and fortify various aspects of the governance and data management practices for the Commercial Organization.

What you'll do

  • Collaborates with Subject Matter Experts and IT to create and manage integrated data assets

  • Collaborates with commercial teams to ensure customer-first/data-first approach to development of solutions

  • Assists with investigations and defect resolution

  • Works closely with IT partners, commercial product teams, Privacy team and the governance committee to create, implement and monitor data collection standards

  • Creates and implements data health scorecards and monitoring systems

  • Performs statistical testing on large datasets to determine quality and integrity, and develops quality standards with assistance from Subject Matter Experts

  • Creates and delivers communications and training about our data assets and how to use them

  • Works with Data Stewards to maintain metadata, best practices, ownership and lineage

  • Updates and manages Data Access Policies, conduct audits and recommend changes when appropriate

  • Participates in various Governance sub-committees to develop standards and best practices

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, mathematics, computer science, information management, or similar relevant work experience/training

  • 3 years of experience in data analysis, data management or data stewardship

  • Proficiency in SQL

  • Experience with one or more aspects of data governance

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • 5 years of experience in data analysis, data management or data stewardship

  • Airline or travel/hospitality industry experience

  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau or PowerBI

  • Experience with Data Quality tools such as Informatica, Anomolo or MonteCarlo

  • Experience with Informatica Axon/EDC/Marketplace

  • Experience with Identity Resolution, CDP or Master Data Management solutions

  • Experience with Teradata, Databricks and Snowflake

Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Exceptional analytical and advanced problem-solving skills

  • Knowledge of data management concepts including modeling, quality, control frameworks, governance, master data management, metadata management, identity resolution, etc.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint

  • Advanced SQL proficiency; Python a plus

  • Ability to perform customer data analysis using complex data sets

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Ability to balance multiple projects concurrently

  • Inquisitive out-of-the-box thinker who is continuously on the lookout for opportunities to improve and innovate

  • Excellent leadership, communication, creative thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to move projects forward without deadlines as well as effectively work under tight time constraints

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively communicate and work with diverse business groups

  • Knowledge and understanding of customer data and customer interactions specific to the airline industry

  • Familiarity with the basics of marketing, ad-tech/mar-tech, loyalty programs, etc beneficial

  • Ability to develop creative solutions and innovative strategies to drive real business results

  • CDMP Certification in one or more areas a plus
