Automotive Accessory Sales Representative

Location: Dallas, Texas – 100% Remote Work hours: Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Base $50,400 plus sales commission, travel and mileage are covered by the company.

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Accessory Sales Representative out of the Dallas Texas area to be responsible for promoting and selling automotive accessories to aftermarket businesses and OEM businesses/automotive companies. The company develops and supplies exclusively for OEM vehicle manufacturers and their distributors and as a result we have customers in more than 60 countries around the world. This role involves understanding customer needs, recommending accessories, promoting company design/development capabilities, and providing excellent customer service. An active participation and contributor towards generating new sales, building customer relationships and support, onsite training, attending events and meetings. This representative should be knowledgeable about a wide range of automotive accessories, including performance upgrades, interior/exterior enhancements, and electronic components. In addition, a strong understanding of manufacturing processes. You should be prepared to travel for business on a need’s basis Domestic and possible International travel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Interaction and Customer Relationship Management: courteous, professional manner. Promote and identify strong long lasting customer relationships by partnering and understanding client’s needs.

  • 2 years proven product knowledge Product Knowledge and Market Trends: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of various accessories, including performance upgrades, interior/exterior enhancements, audio systems, and other electronic components. Stay updated and informed on the latest trends, innovations, competitor’s offerings, and industry developments in automotive accessories.

  • Sales and Leads: Meet Sales goals, actively seek out new customers and opportunities for accessory sales. Utilize various methods to generate leads, including social media, events, tradeshows and partnerships with OEM car companies, dealerships, retail, and distribution companies. Provide sales, revenue and expenses reports, realistic sales forecasts to the management team. Accomplishes financial objectives by forecasting requirements and assists in preparing annual sales budget and sales strategy.

  • Documentation: Provide accurate and transparent pricing information to customers. Prepare quotes and proposals for accessory packages. Ensure accurate and complete documentation for accessory sales transactions. Coordinate with the Supply Chain team to process orders and manage inventory. Work with Quality team to ensure “quality complaints” are resolved to improve customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • 2 plus years previous automotive accessories sales experience, (aftermarket and OEM).

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field

  • Basic automotive technical background, knowledge of automotive systems and accessories

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with excellent negotiation and closing skills.

  • Certifications in sales/marketing, any sales awards

  • This position requires domestic and potentially international travel (planned and potential unplanned travel), as events occur.
