UnitedHealth Group Business Process / UAT Test Analyst - National Remote in Dallas, Texas

Position Description: UAT tester to work within the UAT Team to help us ensure our products are tested and delivered having met the highest quality testing standards available in the organization in a timely manner. In this highly visible role, you will also have the opportunity to participate in building and establishing our policies, standards and procedures for the UAT Team

This position is full time (40 hours/week) Monday - Friday. Employees are required to have flexibility to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 8:00 am – 5:00 pm CST. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

We offer weeks on-the-job training. The hours during training will be 8:00 am to 5:00 pm CST, Monday - Friday.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Quality Assurance

  • Analyze and decompose business requirements to extract test requirements

  • Developing / implementing / executing effective test plans and test cases

  • Testing of system requirements and enhancements and/or fixes

  • Analyzing data, researching & troubleshooting issues to define root cause and providing results

  • Logging & tracking defects to closure

  • Monitoring, measuring and communicating test results

  • Help ensure new system requirements/enhancements/changes are tested thoroughly, accurately and delivered in a timely manner

  • Create and prepare UAT documentation, communication, and process workflow

  • Provide consistent and repeatable testing process for UAT; may work with business analyst to execute test scenarios.

  • Work closely with Project Team to identify risks early

  • Improve processes and reduce post implementation issues

  • Create and maintain documentation, communication, and process workflow

  • Other tasks may include support other project testing as needed, running reports and pulling data from the RxCLAIM system for audits on pharmacy claims data, making recommendations to the development team to improve the system and using query language to create the reports from various relational databases

  • Project management skills – manage multiple priorities

Required Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma / GED OR equivalent work experience

  • Must be 18 years or older

  • 2+ year of User Acceptance testing experience for enterprise-level applications, includingwriting test cases from business requirement and executing/validating test results

  • RxCLAIM on IBM AS400 experience backed with strong understanding & knowledge of RxCLAIM MODs’

  • 2+ years of experience performing business process and data analysis

  • Intermediate level proficiency: Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint

  • Experience with developing process documentation and process improvement workflow

  • Ability to understand and clearly articulate business and system functionality requirements and/or process flows as it relates to test cases and test results

  • Experience with handling multiple projects simultaneously and in a fast-paced environment

  • Must be able to work flexible schedule during holidays & peak period (November through January)

  • Ability to work our normal business hours of 8:00am – 5:00pm CST, Monday to Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime or weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Medicare Part D

  • Previous automation experience

  • Healthcare insurance or claims experience

  • Intermediate proficiency level in Microsoft Access

  • Strong understanding of Claims Admin workflows and processes

Telecommuting Requirements:

  • Ability to keep all company sensitive documents secure (if applicable)

  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.

  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
