Overview: As a Commercial Construction Plumbing Foreman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating plumbing activities on commercial construction sites. You will lead a team of plumbers and helpers, ensuring that projects are completed safely, on time, and according to specifications.

Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair pipes, joints, valves, drains, and fixtures in all types of structures, ensuring compliance with project specifications and plumbing codes.
Supervise field workers and subcontractors, overseeing field installation activities in a designated area to ensure quality and efficiency.
Provide necessary tools, equipment, and installation materials to the work area prior to the arrival of workers, facilitating smooth operations.
Instruct workers on installation procedures through detailed verbal explanations or sketches, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
Organize materials and expedite availability of tools and equipment to maintain workflow and productivity in the work area.
Inspect the quality of installation workmanship regularly to uphold standards and address any deficiencies promptly.
Coordinate and call for code enforcement inspections as required throughout the project phases.
Daily mark-up as-built drawings to accurately reflect changes and progress on site.
Enforce safety policies and procedures, promptly responding to incidents and ensuring a safe work environment for all team members.
Ensure compliance with current plumbing rules and regulations to achieve successful inspections on the first attempt.
Maintain detailed records of time spent on jobs and materials purchased, accurately tracking project costs and resources.
Respond to plumbing emergencies, diagnose issues, and perform necessary repairs promptly and efficiently.
Provide daily guidance, training, and direction to plumbing crew members, including journeymen, mechanics, and apprentices/helpers.
Practice preventive maintenance of plumbing tools and equipment by conducting regular spot checks to ensure proper working condition.
Undertake other duties and projects as assigned by management to support project goals and organizational objectives.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; Texas Plumbing Journeyman License required, additional education or certification in plumbing, construction management, or related field preferred.
EPA Universal and OSHA
Must have a minimum of 2+ years of proven experience as a Commercial Construction Plumbing Foreman or similar role in commercial construction projects, with a strong understanding of plumbing systems and installation practices.
Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and installation practices.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues on-site.
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures, with a commitment to creating a safe work environment.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various job sites as required.
