Content Validity Nurse Reviewer

UWorld is looking for motivated, experienced nurses to review and edit content for our web-based products. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses to contribute to the next generation of nurses by engaging in the maintenance and development of clinically-relevant educational content for our NCLEX® question banks (Qbanks). Content Validity Nurses follow a schedule that provides a balance of clinical and non-clinical work to maintain their clinical expertise while educating tomorrow's nurses via our innovative and interactive platform.

The Content Validity Nurse will utilize his or her clinical experience, nursing knowledge, and the most up-to-date nursing education sources to review questions and rationales for our web-based NCLEX Qbanks. The ideal candidate has a demonstrated history of expertise and leadership in bedside nursing practice and is passionate about excellence and best practices in nursing.

Job responsibilities:

Reports to the Director of Nursing Education and reviews content for the online NCLEX Qbanks.

Nursing content production

  • Reviews NCLEX questions and rationales for accuracy and clinical relevance

  • Revises NCLEX questions with minor edits to reflect practice changes

  • Applies knowledge that reflects the NCLEX blueprint and standardized examination practices for generation of test items

  • Collaborates with management and team members to ensure goals are met

  • Manages time effectively while multitasking

Content revision and quality control

  • Responds quickly to user feedback and makes necessary edits to Qbank content

  • Works collaboratively with team members to provide and receive feedback with tact and diplomacy

  • Recognizes and champions the integrity and security of Qbank content and proprietary assets

Time and travel commitments:

  • Minimum 12 hours per week, never to exceed 24 hours in 1 week, averages 16 hours per week

  • Must maintain a clinical position at least 2 days per week

  • Remote work environment with occasional travel requirements to company office (Maximum 2 times annually, fully compensated for travel, lodging, etc.)

  • Must have access to Computer, reliable internet connection, and Microsoft Office Suite

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher

Must have an undergraduate GPA of 3.5 or higher, OR graduate GPA of 3.2 or higher

Active, unencumbered RN license in the United States or Canada

MINIMUM NURSING EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

At least 1 year of bedside clinical experience (excluding preceptorship/internship)

PREFERRED NURSING EXPERIENCE:

Active specialty certification within your specialty areas (eg, CCRN, RN-BC, CEN, etc.)

Experience precepting/supervising/evaluating registered nursing students and/or RNs within the first year of practice preferred

Required skills:

  • Passion for nursing and education

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including scientific writing

  • Effective problem-solving skills and acute attention to detail

  • Critical thinking and ability to synthesize conceptual ideas into a finished product

  • Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively in a team environment

  • Ability to provide, receive, and respond to feedback positively

  • Solid organizational, prioritization, and self-motivation skills to successfully meet deadlines

  • Adaptable and creative

  • Proficient in MS Office
