Amazon Finance Manager MMP0, Middle Mile Products & Tech Finance Planning & Optimization in Dallas, Texas

The Middle Mile Products & Tech Finance Planning & Optimization is seeking a Finance Manager who will serve as a subject matter expert for financial analysis of all metrics, technical initiatives, and financials related to the Middle Mile Product & Tech team.

This role will leverage their understanding of network impact for analysis, verbal and written communication of analysis and forecasting of supply strategy and other optimization mechanisms to drive costs out of the network.

Key job responsibilities

  • Generate financial models from scratch or modify existing where applicable to demonstrate financial impact of all aspects of the Middle Mile network

  • Usage of strong data analytics skills (i.e. dashboarding, advanced Excel, SQL, etc.) and development of documents to support all findings

  • This position will own the technical initiative tracking over $2B annualized savings

Basic Qualifications

  • BA or BS in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a highly analytical field (e.g., Engineering, Math, Computer Science)

  • 5+ years of finance experience, or Master’s degree and 3+ years of finance experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience

  • 6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience

  • MBA, or CPA

  • Knowledge of SQL/ETL

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

  • Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $85,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $179,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
