Robert Half Paralegal II in Dallas, Texas

Description We are seeking a Paralegal II to join our team based in Dallas, Texas. This role primarily involves supporting the legal team by resolving routine legal issues and preparing a variety of legal documents. This role is a long-term contract position that offers a diverse range of responsibilities and the opportunity to work in a dynamic professional environment.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive research on various law sources including statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes.

• Prepare a variety of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, appeals, wills, contracts, etc.

• Provide support to attorneys and work under their direction to resolve routine legal issues.

• Utilize creativity and latitude in accomplishing various tasks within the legal field.

• Maintain a high degree of understanding of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures.

• Plan and execute tasks relying on experience and judgment.

• Lead and direct the work of others as needed.

• Ensure the maintenance of accurate and efficient customer credit records.

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action when necessary.

• Process customer credit applications accurately and efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in legal research and analysis

• Solid understanding of legal codes, court procedures, and judicial decisions

• Experience in drafting legal documentation such as contracts, briefs, and pleadings

• Ability to handle estate planning and appeals

• Familiarity with legal practices and procedures

• Strong planning and organizational skills

• Experience in dealing with various legal issues

• Ability to interpret statutes and legal publications

• Strong creativity and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in preparing legal arguments and statements of fact

• Knowledge of legal terminology and principles

• Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines

• Knowledge of legal citation rules

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent computer literacy and ability to work with legal research software.
