Registered Nurse—Neuro /Trauma ICU (NTICU)—Full Time Nights

Texas Health Dallas is a Level I Trauma Center and Comprehensive Stroke Center! We are looking for top tier candidates. WORK LOCATION : Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Ln, Dallas, TX 75231

WORK HOURS : Full Time Nights (7P-7A) for 36 hrs/week. Weekend and holiday requirements

​​​​​​​ Neuro/Trauma ICU Department highlights:

Our 24-bed ICU is dedicated to providing specialized care for patients with acute neurological conditions, surgical needs and traumatic injuries. As a nurse on this unit, you’ll have opportunities for professional growth, career development, and outstanding support from our Neuro Critical Care Providers and our Trauma Providers. We offer 24/7 Trauma Intensivist and Neuro Critical Care Intensivist coverage.

HERE’S WHAT YOU WILL NEED:

· Diploma of Nursing OR Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) required;

· BSN preferred.

· 1 Year Experience as a clinical nurse (RN) or completion of an RN residency program Required;

· One or more years of ICU experience strongly preferred

· RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire Required

· BCLS upon hire – Require upon Hire

· ACLS upon hire - Require upon Hire

· CPI within 30 days of hire

· A high degree of confidentiality, positive interpersonal skills, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.

What You Will Do

· Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

· Assesses the patient

· Plans the care of the patient

· Intervenes as appropriate

· Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions

· Incorporates age specific safety/infection control measures into patient care.

· Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information

· Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
