Insight Global Senior Project Engineer Traffic Team Lead in Dallas, Texas
Job Description
A client of Insight Global is looking to bring on a Senior Project Engineer with expertise in Traffic Engineering, specifically signal design. This position would be a part of the traffic team in the North Texas region. This individual will oversee production management and quality control for projects with clients such as TxDot, NTTA, DART and major airports in the DFW area. This individual will be overseeing a small team of 3-5 people.
Major responsibilities:
* Traffic signal design as well as pavement markings, signage and illumination design.
* Responsible for project planning, managing a team and delegating tasks to individuals.
* Able to manage budgeting responsibilities and coordinate schedules.
* Work alongside other disciplines to coordinate projects.
* Planning and development of projects and ensuring adherence to project requirements.
* Oversees and provides technical guidance to team members on complex scopes of work.
* Lead delivery on large, multidisciplinary projects.
* Assist with marketing responsibilities and project proposals.
* Responsible for hiring and developing staff members including planning for staff reporting, performance reviews, and scheduling.

Skills and Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
* Professional Engineering License (P.E.)
* 8-10 years of experience as a traffic engineer.
* Traffic signal design experience as well as road striping, pavement markings, signage and illumination design
* MicroStation or relevant CAD experience. * Master's Degree
* Previous management experience within traffic engineering.
* Experience working with TxDOT. null
