We are seeking a Project Accountant in the Construction/Contractor industry based in Dallas, Texas. This role involves performing various accounting functions, including project accounting, month-end close, journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payroll, and other duties as assigned. Responsibilities:
• Manage project accounting tasks to ensure accurate and timely financial tracking of construction projects
• Perform month-end close activities, including the preparation and review of journal entries and review of budget-to-actual reports
• Handle accounts payable and receivable activities to ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices and collection of revenue
• Oversee the billing process, ensuring that invoices are generated and sent out in a timely manner
• Process payroll, ensuring that all employees are paid accurately and on time
• Apply knowledge of US GAAP in the performance of all accounting activities
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the financial health and operations of the company.
Requirements
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
• Proficiency in Project Accounting is essential
• Demonstrated ability in Month End Close procedures
• Comprehensive understanding of US GAAP regulations
• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is required
