Robert Half Sr. Accounting Manager (Private Funds) in Dallas, Texas
Description We are in search of a Sr. Accounting Manager (Private Funds) to join our team based in Dallas, Texas. This role will play a crucial part in managing the team that handles the day-to-day accounting of our funds, ensuring financial integrity and regulatory compliance while providing strategic support for the fund's operations and investment activities.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise and mentor team members, including staff, senior accountants, and accounting managers in the preparation of quarterly standalone and consolidated financial statements and investor reports.
• Review quarterly standalone/consolidated financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS.
• Lead in technical accounting analysis and application for aircraft/leasing transactions.
• Manage and meet all deadlines for monthly, quarterly, year-end and special project requirements.
• Support the financial reporting team with audit inquiries for entities within the fund.
• Review and assist with investor capital statements, investor reports, and investor correspondence.
• Manage the fund's cash forecast and recommend credit facility draws/repayments and capital calls/distributions.
• Lead accounting and reporting process enhancements to reduce financial close timing.
• Perform other duties as needed. Requirements
• Proficiency in Fund Accounting is mandatory for this role.
• Experience with Equipment Leasing or private equity is highly preferred.
• Must have expertise in performing Consolidations.
• A background in Public Accounting is desirable.
• This position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is preferred.
• The candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience in managing a team is required.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices is needed.
• The candidate must have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite is required.
• The candidate should have a strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines is needed.
• The candidate should have strong organizational and planning skills.
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information.
