Insight Global Transportation CAD Technician in Dallas, Texas
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Transportation CAD Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Microstation and experience in roadway design.
Responsibilities:
Developing 3D Models and Schematics: You will be responsible for developing detailed 3D models and schematics of roadway projects using CAD software. This includes creating accurate and detailed designs that meet project specifications.
Collaboration: Work closely with Project Engineers and Project Managers to create innovative solutions regarding roadway design. This includes participating in design discussions and providing technical input.
Meeting Deadlines: Complete tasks in a timely manner to meet project deadlines. This requires excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Creating Cutting Sheets and Reference Profiles: Prepare cutting sheets and create reference profiles for roadway projects. This involves interpreting engineering sketches and plans, and transforming them into a set of drawings.

Skills and Requirements
2 years of experience in transportation related field
* A good working knowledge in Microstation or OpenRoads Designer
* Experience developing exhibits, schematics, and/or construction drawings
Experience reviewing drawings from others * Experience in developing TXDOT schematic or PS&E plans.
* A good working knowledge of PowerGeoPak and/ OpenRoads Designer
A good working knowledge of 3D modeling in PowerGeopak/InRoads and/or OpenRoads null
