HIRING MANAGER: Joseph Kapraun _ PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT_ Responsible for All Aspects of Operations, including leading all assigned subordinate peers _ SUPERVISION AND LEADERSHIP_ Reports to Assistant General Manager and makes note of all leadership activity needed by own self _ ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS_ Communicates effectively with fellow operations employees to achieve shared goals. Shows utmost respect for customers when interaction is needed during harvest and in the community. Leads fellow employees by being the example of good work ethic, attitude, and safety. Delegates task to appropriate employees and teaches whenever possible to provide for the most efficient, safe work atmosphere. Conducts all operations in a safe and conscientious manner, while following company procedures. Maintains company equipment, including but not limited to legs, conveyors, and machinery. Carries out all tasks related to receiving, shipping and handling grain, including operating the company’s grain dryers. Monitors and keeps all grain in condition through regular inspections of bins and outbound grain, while reporting any information to leadership, including grain inventory measurements each month. Ensures company property and grounds are maintained with the utmost care. Reports all information essential to operations to the Assistant General Manager and/or General Manager when needed. Complies with housekeeping standards while making sure to fill out appropriate documentation including safety records such as bin entry, hot work, and confined space permits. Ensures regulatory compliance with appropriate agencies. Performs all other duties as assigned _ OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS_ Follows Heritage Grain’s Code of Conduct and Corporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures, as they apply _ REQUIREMENTS_ Normally requires an extensive background in grain handling and mechanics Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license and clean driving record with the ability to get/maintain a CDL Must be willing to work extended hours beyond those considered “normal” Occasionaly lift 21-100 lbs Performs work in extreme weather conditions (hot, cold, wet, etc.) Performs duties around noisy conditions Working conditions may include dust and electrical hazards with appropriate safety measures Ability and willingness to participate in required training that may include education on Heritage Grain’s policies and procedures and additional training as it relates to the requirements of the position
