Content Development Manager

Position Overview

We are looking for a strategic and innovative Content Development Manager to lead our residential training content development initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a passion for adult learning theory, strong project management skills, and experience in leading creative teams. This role will be responsible for creating a training content calendar and plan, managing our suite of tools and library of content, and overseeing the development of training materials to ensure alignment with organizational goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Creating a Training Content Calendar and Plan:

  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive training content calendar and plan that aligns with organizational objectives and training needs.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training priorities, target audiences, and learning objectives for each training module.

  • Ensure that training content is delivered in a timely manner and meets the needs of diverse learners.

  • Managing Suite of Tools and Library of Content:

  • Manage our suite of training tools and platforms, ensuring that they are effectively utilized to support training initiatives.

  • Curate and maintain a library of training content, resources, and materials to support ongoing learning and development.

  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve the effectiveness of our training programs.

  • Developing Training Content with an Emphasis on Adult Learning Theory:

  • Lead the development of training content that incorporates principles of adult learning theory, instructional design, and best practices in training delivery.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to translate complex concepts into engaging and interactive training materials.

  • Utilize a variety of instructional methods, including e-learning modules, videos, simulations, and interactive activities, to enhance learning outcomes.

  • Project Managing Ongoing Training Requests and Needs:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for training requests and needs, managing the intake process, prioritization, and allocation of resources.

  • Project manage the development and delivery of training programs, ensuring that deadlines are met and quality standards are maintained.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessment data, and performance metrics.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of content creators, providing guidance, support, and feedback to ensure the delivery of high-quality training content.

  • Provide oversight and quality assurance to all training materials produced, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with organizational standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including HR, IT, and operations, to identify training needs and opportunities for improvement.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in training and development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, Communications, or related field.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in instructional design, training development, communications, or related field, with a focus on adult learning.

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.

  • Experience with learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools, and other training technologies.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts AM
