Position Overview

POSITION PURPOSE:

To maintain and ensure capacity of equipment assets in assigned areas of responsibility that impact optimal efficiencies at the lowest reasonable cost.

POSITION EXPECTATIONS:

  • Execution of assigned tasks and duties with focus on:

  • Learn and grow in knowledge of maintenance practices and equipment performance, understanding their impact on manufacturing processes and business objectives.

  • Provide feedback on job assignment needs and improvement opportunities with peers and leadership.

POSITION DUTIES & TASKS:

  • Understand the basics of equipment operations to support familiarization of facility and operations, including regular maintenance activities.

  • Execute General maintenance “GM” activities at the facility areas such as repairs needed in office area, bathrooms, buildings, grounds, etc.

  • Execute routine, defined inspections or setups such as those activities for:

  • Safety and environmental inspection and reporting

  • Collection and recording of key operational data such as meter readings or equipment data collection

  • Repetitive parts changes, including those that require precision measurement and quality adherence tolerances.

  • Support Reliability Technicians C-A in

  • Job site preparation and clean up

  • Collection, delivery, and return of parts, and tools

  • PIT operation during work execution

  • Painting

  • Greasing and lubrication

  • Confined space and hot work watch when applicable

CRITICAL KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  • Safety practices - LOTO, Confined Space, PPE, Hot Work, PIT, Fall Protection, Hoisting & Rigging, and Hoisting & Rigging

  • Calculator and Computer application – work order documentation, parts requisitioning

  • Measurement units, techniques and application of appropriate tools

  • Math skills to include

  • Arithmetic

  • Conversion of measurement units

  • Ability to read, interpret, and make simple sketches

  • Basic knowledge of tools and their proper uses.

  • Power transmission component removal and installation techniques

  • Plumbing/piping conveyance component removal and installation techniques

  • Precision alignment techniques for direct coupled elements.

  • Basic fabrication skills including knowledge of welding and cutting techniques and tools

  • Novice troubleshooting techniques of mechanical systems

Work Shift

8 Hr non-rotating shift, Hrs fall to in punch day, Observed Calendar, shift starts PM
