Amentum Crane Maintenance Technician III - 3rd Shift in Davenport, Iowa

Amentum is seeking a Crane Maintenance Technician III to join our 3rd shift Industrial Maintenance team in Davenport, IA!

Typical hours: Sunday - Thursday, 11:00 p.m. – 7:00 a.m. overtime and hours may vary based on customer demand.

Responsibilities :

  • Responds to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing preventive and corrective maintenance on the facility hoists, cranes and other mechanical equipment and systems in an industrial manufacturing environment.

  • Safely performs functions of the position including following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tagout procedures and wearing PPE as required.

  • Identifies and corrects any safety-related issues and performs independent equipment evaluations to identify potential equipment failures.

  • Performs general Maintenance of equipment.

  • Travels to other sites when required (in the local Moline, Davenport, or QC area)

Minimum Requirements:

  • 3 years of experience troubleshooting cranes and hoists OR 1 year of mechanical experience along with a tech school

  • Industrial maintenance or related facility maintenance discipline.

  • Crane certification isn't required to start but you must be able to obtain - we will help you become certified.

  • Must have a valid driver's license.

  • Must be able to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.

  • Must be willing to travel locally up to 50% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have the ability to work in an aerial lift or scissor lift at heights up to 30 feet or higher -Training will be supplied.

  • Requires the ability to regularly lift or carry up to 50 lbs.

  • Requires the ability to push, pull, or lift heavy equipment, supplies, or parts

  • Requires the ability to regularly climb extension ladders, roof ladder, stepladders, and stairs at least 10 times during shift.

  • Requires the flexibility to bend/stoop, squat repetitive during shift.

  • Requires the ability to regularly kneel repetitive for shift.

  • Requires the ability to move in a 90-degree fashion on a repetitive basis for shift.

  • Requires the ability to stretch/reach on a repetitive basis for shift.

  • Requires the ability to walk extensively throughout the plant during shift.

  • Requires the use of a Company/Client approved utility knife.

  • Requires the ability to differentiate colors pertaining to wire color-coding.

  • Some tasks will require repetitive wrist movement.

  • Some tasks will require working in cramped or uncomfortable places and positions

Special Requirements:

  • Wear steel toe safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves and other Personal Protective Equipment as needed.

  • Cope with demands (stressors) that are associated with the job and/or the work environment so that acceptable levels of performance and overall contribution are maintained
