DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Operator to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Blockline Support in Daventry, United Kingdom .
This is a temporary contract for up to 24 months. The role involves night shifts with the following schedule:
Sunday to Thursday
11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Enhance Production Quality: Use a variety of CNC machines to produce high-quality cylinder blocks, ensuring precision and adherence to specifications.
Contribute to Safety: Follow all Health & Safety processes rigorously, including the use of personal protective equipment and reporting any hazards or incidents to maintain a safe work environment.
Promote Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team, communicating openly and supporting peers to achieve common production goals and improve processes.
Drive Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in identifying and implementing improvements in quality, safety, processes, material flow, and employee development.
Maintain Equipment and Work Area: Keep a clean and orderly work area, perform routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks, and carry out planned operator care and maintenance to ensure equipment reliability.
Achieve Production Goals: Operate manual and automated equipment efficiently to meet production targets and maintain the required cycle times, demonstrating high competency in core work skills.
Ensure Compliance: Adhere to all applicable standard work, process documentation, and quality procedures such as Statistical Process Control (SPC) to minimize costs and manage quality exposures.
Engage in Personal Development: Complete required training and personal development activities to enhance skills and contribute to overall business objectives, supporting a culture of continuous learning.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience
A high school diploma or equivalent is required, with a strong foundation in mathematics and technical skills.
Relevant vocational or technical training in CNC machining or engineering can enhance proficiency in operating CNC machines and understanding manufacturing processes.
Certification or licensing related to compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations may be necessary, depending on the specific requirements of the role.
Additional coursework or training in health and safety standards and practices can be beneficial for ensuring a safe work environment.
Previous experience operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts is preferred, demonstrating familiarity with relevant processes and equipment.
Ability to understand and follow instructions independently, with strong numeracy and literacy skills to ensure accurate and effective work.
Proficiency with PCs or handheld terminals, combined with a solid understanding of quality standards and health and safety requirements.
Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or engineering fields is desirable, though training will be provided, and intermediate-level knowledge from education or previous roles will be beneficial.
The compensation for this role is aligned with a local bargained or unionised agreement
